This diary comes to you from Quite a Long Time Ago. It reflects the attitudes of its time and these are (fortunately) often not the attitudes of today. From time to time the author expresses somewhat bigotted views. The transcriber of his posts would like it to be known that these do not necessarily represent her own views, and furthermore that in these cases the joke, for modern readers, is against intolerance and thus the writer rather than the people about whom these views are held. The transcriber also imagines that were he living today, the author would have rather different opinions: he is a product of his time.
